The M&A Consultant's main missions
WeMa‘s Mergers & Acquisitions consultants support customers throughout the entire transaction cycle.
Objective: to create sustainable value and secure the success of equity transactions.
Strategic analysis of sale, acquisition or transfer transactions
Financial valuation and business modeling
DCF, multiples, comparables
Preparation and drafting of key documents: teasers, business plans, information memorandums, data rooms
Identifying and approaching potential counterparties
Buyers, investors, targets
Negotiation of financial and legal conditions in collaboration with the legal and tax departments
Support through to closing
Deal structuring, due diligence, fundraising, contractual formalization
Economic and sector intelligence to detect new opportunities
Skills and qualities sought
- Excellent knowledge of corporate finance, strategic analysis and valuation
- Solid accounting, legal and tax foundations
- Rigor, curiosity and a critical mind
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (often in French and English)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage several projects simultaneously
Training: Business school, Master’s degree in finance, DSCG, or university course specializing in M&A / Corporate Finance.
Experience: internships, work-study programs or initial experience in a consulting firm, investment bank, investment fund or audit firm.
