The main tasks of an employment lawyer

Advice on individual employment law
Hiring, contracts, termination, dismissal, discipline
Collective legal advice
Employee representation, company agreements, professional elections
Drafting and negotiation of contracts, amendments, severance agreements, memorandums of understanding
Management of labor and employment litigation
Defending employers, mediation, out-of-court settlement strategies
Support for restructuring, mergers and divestments
Social audit, regulatory watch and compliance with current legislation
Collaboration with payroll, HR, legal and CSR departments to ensure a comprehensive and coherent approach
Skills and qualities sought
- Solid command of labor law and industrial tribunal procedure
- Good interpersonal skills, listening and teaching skills
- Legal rigor and responsiveness
- Ability to summarize, diplomacy and negotiation skills
- Appetence for collaborative, multidisciplinary work
Training: Master 2 in labor law, employment law or social protection law, CAPA.
Experience: internships or experience in law firms specializing in labor law, or in a company’s legal / HR department.
